Happy Scrappy – about how to sort and store your scraps so that you can tackle the bins as you make scrap quilts. Many ideas for how to get started with your scrap quilts and dozens of finished scrappy quilts.
Indigo
Shibori – Stitches, clamped and bound up fabrics to dye in Indigo, the
beautiful Blue. A peck into dying with Indigo and using your blue fabric in your quilts.
Bee Improv - My adventure starting up a Canadian Improv Bee group. Block ideas and quilts that resulted.

Classes can be booked with Cathy, most are in person but a few are available on zoom, it will say if zoom option is available.
Indigo Dying class (for Quilters) - Indigo
Dying, the magic of the blue and white fabrics. We get the different depths of
colour by repeating the dips in the vat. We will explore many different methods
of shibori resist to create patterns on our cloth. We will cover hand stitching,
clamping, and binding. We can also play with a few different natural fibers. I include a zoom class for 1 hour about 1 month before class date. Best to be 2 or 3 days, a running sink is required, it can be messy. Please contact me about class room requirements.

Rainbow Dye Magic (for Quilters) - Come play
with colour and create stunning fabrics you can quilt with. We will play around
with Fiber Reactive Dyes and use some low water immersion dying. Great class
for anyone who wants to try dying for the first time or a seasoned dyer who
wants to play around with a few techniques. Working around the rainbow colour
wheel then playing with low amounts of water to get you fabric to
quilt with. Best done as a 2 or 3 day class. a running sink is required, it is messy. Contact me for more about the required class room space.

Around We Go - Play a game of chance well we work around on a small improve quilt. This little quilt will be added too by going around and around. Learn to cut and plan with more freedom. You can share bit or use up scraps. freedom but with fun tossed in too.

Luminous Diamonds - Luminous Diamonds is a class of many many triangles where the maker can take the design to a new level by adding great Colour and all kinds of scraps.

Scrappy Play Time -Come
join me to play with your pretty scraps. Making fabric out of nothing. I will
show you how I cut, sort, and store my scraps in a rainbow of colour. I will
then show you how I have used my tiny bits of fabric. You will build fabric
using your precious scraps with a few poverty piecing techniques shown. Our
larger blocks will be based on traditional quilt blocks, but we will have used
poverty piecing to add greater interest and texture. Students can choose the
Bouncy Ball block or a Friendship Star block, some students may have time for
both blocks. Poverty Piecing is also called Crumb blocks.
This class can be done on zoom, I offer a 1 hour how to sort scraps on zoom, then a 5 hour zoom class, arguments can be made to record this class for a one month of viewing.
This class can be in person.
