I got one of the slab quilt tops done. I am making slab quilts to donate to Canada's Big Quilt Bee. You can find the slab block pattern Here by Cherly Arkison.
I had a helper today to take photos. I thought a quilt hug was a good photo. It was kind of cold out today with a bite of wind.
Over the deck rail
My model is hiding. This quit has 24 12" blocks. So the quilt measures 48" by 72", I think it is the larger size they were looking for.
This is a cute bush to drape the quilt on.
Each block is to have at least on fabric that is Canadian. I used the nice white with red maple leaves.
So happy to have a top done.
I have added this post to Crazy Mom Quilts

ReplyDeleteI love it! It looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, Cathy! I love how you used your Canada maple leaf fabric in the center of each slab. And of course, who can resist a rainbow? :) Great job for a worthy project.
ReplyDeleteDid you know that Kat has a linkup for charity quilts? You should add this lovely finish to her list!

Love your rainbow quilt! If it needs to be any wider a simpler border would do the trick. :-)
