Ruby Red Scrap Saturday

Ruby Red Scrap Saturday it is. I worked on my nine patches. They are 3" when finished. I had done some red before but not many. So I got more Red done.

I have add this post the to the linky party at Soscrappy. I am gone to another agility trial with my lab Gemma.

Last week I had started the purple ones from our January colour. I did not have any done till now. I have 50 now.

A close up

I also got started on the teal ones last week but did not get them finished till just a few days ago.

Have you done a bunch of nine patches? what did you make? What might you make? I have not made a plan for my nine patches. I just like making them.

  2. Wow! What an amazing amount of tiny nine patches you've made! I love the photo of the red ones that progresses from light to dark. I'm actually making a collection of 6" blocks in rainbow colors, and some of them are 9 patches. Haven't decided what to do with them yet, though!

  3. What a lot of little patches; I'm interested to see how you set them when you finish your quilt. You have made many more 9-patches than I have. I use them as leaders and enders so at this rate it's resembling a 5-year plan!

  9. WOW!!! You have been a BUSY quilter!!! I made Tiny Nines during the 2015 and 2016 RSC, but haven't determined what will be done with them. The original plan no longer excites me and I'm taking a break from churning them out each month. I'll get back to them... someday!

  10. Good for you making so many tiny 9-patches. I am impressed because, that takes a while to do so many. I like them too, also 16-patch blocks. I keep looking at other folks things and Pinterest to get ideas, how,to use them. They can make rows and borders anywhere and,can be mixed with other blocks as well. Good luck!

  16. It's so amazing how we're only three months into the RSC and already the collections are starting to sing. And I love the range of values you are covering for each color.
