I got some more purple scraps sewn this week. I really really needed the purple coin strips done. I had almost every colour done but not purple. I just missed doing the purple last year. These are 6 1/2" wide and 18 1/2" long.
I took my photos late tonight in the darker room and without my design wall. Sorry my photos are not better. I hope next week I can use my wall and show off all the purple at one time. We had company and I am trying to machine quilt the last few quilts to end my month. Not enough time in my life.
My 8" spool block and the left over pin wheel block.
These are to be my 6" sampler blocks. Opps something is not like the other. The Friendship star is 6" but the other block is 8" wrong. I will have to redo it. I guess this block will end up as an extra.
I have a few purple Dear Jane blocks done using my Kaffe Fasset Fabrics.
Top Left is A8 - Florence Nightingale
Top right is C10 - Patriot's Lantern
Bottom Left is I2 - Kay's Courtyard
Bottom Right is C4 Tic Tac Toe
I have added Saturday's post to Soscrappy as part of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge 2014.
My only photo of Gemma this week. She still can sleep on the foot stool. Maybe not for long. She is getting big.
I like your spool block; it's really effective with the scrappy "thread" part.
ReplyDeleteMy. You have been busy, Girl. Great projects. Sweet picture of Gemma.
ReplyDeleteHi, Cathy. Those purple stripes are sumptuous--such royal color! Also liked the log cabin that you're quilting--beautiful. Such a great traditional design--very pleasing.
ReplyDeletebest, nadia
Wow you have been busy! Your blocks look great.
ReplyDeleteA very productive purple week :)
ReplyDeleteThe coin strip blocks are so effective. I haven't seen Dear Jane blocks done up in Kaffe Fassett fabrics before. What a nice modern twist.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet puppy girl---they do grow quickly!! Mine decided to ignore the invisible fence today & chase birds in the neighborhood. I was so sure he would get hit, but I finally snagged him. Love all your purples made into blocks.
