WIP Wednesday More Hexies

I have been working on my Hexagons. I did a ton of basting and some sewing over the Easter weekend. I have been thinking I like this layout. I am not sure if I have enough green fabric but so far I like this the best. I have no idea how big I will make this quilt.

I thought I would show off this great fabric. I found the crazy vase fabric on clearance. I bought some not know how I would use it. It is perfect to fussy cut. I used a piece of fabric 20" by 28" to get the 6 repeats I needed.

I few more from the same fabric. I am getting more pink around the flowers.

Here is the same print in a different colour. I love the crazy vase flower on the bottom.

I have added this post to Freshly Pieced WIP, and The Needle and Thread Network.

Gemma hanging out.

  1. I love the way you are fussy cutting that print for your hexies. If I didn't have so many other things going, I just might.......

  2. Oh maaaaan! just love that bright pink--So neat Julierose

  3. Fussy cutting your hexies will pay off in the long run! They are adorable! Great job!

  4. Wow your hexies are gorgeous, what a find that fabric was...loving the pink background, all so bright and happy...Gemma is such a cutie...

  5. Oh that kaleidoscope effect is very cool, I never would have thought of doing that, because you must admit the original was on the garish side.
